Horizon Europe grant writer and project manager

Innotrope is a small but growing grant writing, project management, and communication agency specialised in EU funded Horizon Europe research and innovation projects.
Located in Orsay, on the Paris Saclay University campus, Innotrope has clients from all around Europe.
As we are small, no formalism, no hierarchy: everyone contributes to all our projects.
The job
You will be hired as a grant writer and project manager for Horizon Europe projects.
Missions:
About 30% of working time: grant writing
About 70% of working time: project management
Our projects are interesting, varied, and on state-of-the-art topics. Our clients are scientists who are usually very friendly and happy that we help them with writing their grant applications and managing their projects. Thus, we promise you a rewarding job!
Expect between 6 to 8 short-term business trips across the EU and Africa. We have just won an EU/Africa project so you will have to go once or twice a year to Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Senegal for the next five years. If you want to extend your business trip with a private trip, no problem; you will obviously have to pay for your private expenses, but at least you will have your flights paid by us.
About you
University degree in project management or political science with a European affairs specialisation. A project management certification such as PMI or Prince2 is highly appreciated.
At least 3 years of experience in similar roles.

- Writing of the project proposal with our clients (mostly scientists)
- Administrative information collection
- Support for drafting the project budget
- Organisation of consortium meetings
About 70% of working time: project management
- Support in the grant agreement negotiation with the European Commission
- Contribution to consortium agreement preparation
- Finance monitoring and reporting
- Preparation and submission of some deliverables
- Planning of consortium meetings
- Coordination of consortium work (tasks, deliverables, milestones)

- French language is not mandatory, but if you want to learn the language to better fit in the country, we’ll pay you French courses.

- Experience in Horizon 2020 and/or Horizon Europe grant writing.

- Permanent contract with a 3-month trial period
- Monthly gross salary between 2500 and 3500 euros depending on your experience.
- Remote work as much as you like. We are very flexible on that. You can show up at our office when you want to meet your colleagues and stay home or work in a café if you prefer. Therefore, you can live wherever in France, and not only in Paris. For example, our IP expert lives in Strasbourg.
- 38-hour working week, 25 vacation days per year + 20 RTT (like holidays but to catch up on the 3 extra hours per week you will work compared to the 35-hour work week that is in place in France).
- We supply a MacBook Air and an iPhone with its SIM card.
